The “European Thesaurus on International Relations and Area Studies” (European Thesaurus) is a multilingual thesaurus covering all subject fields in International Relations and Area Studies. The European Thesaurus, which is updated regularly, contains about 8,200 descriptors in nine languages and additional entry vocabulary (non-descriptors) for each linguistic version.

The European Thesaurus has been developed with the participation of several European research institutes as a project of the "European Information Network on International Relations and Areas Studies" (EINIRAS).
